What is rotary roots blower?
Roots fans are widely used in exhaust gas treatment systems, brake assist systems and turbochargers in automobile manufacturing.
Roots blower is a positive displacement lobe pump which operates by pumping a fluid with a pair of meshing lobes resembling a set of stretched gears.

COMMODITY CHEMICALS
Roots Systems blowers are used to handle 'syngas' (synthesis gas), which is a mixture of hydrogen and carbon dioxide, used to produce ammonia. Our blowers are also used in the manufacture of chlorine, ethylene, methanol, and phenol.
FERTILISER
Synthetic nitrogen fertilisers are made from ammonia (NH3) produced by the Haber-Bosch process. This process reacts methane (CH4) gas with nitrogen (N2) from the air. This ammonia is used as a feedstock for fertilisers such as anhydrous ammonium nitrate and urea. In their report 'How a century of ammonia synthesis changed the world', Jan Willem Erisman of the Energy Research Center of the Netherlands, et al. wrote, "we estimate, that by 2000, nitrogen fertilizers were responsible for feeding 44% of the world's population. Our updated estimate for 2008 is 48% - so the lives of around half of humanity are made possible by Haber-Bosch nitrogen."
